Guwahati, Shillong and Cherrapunji Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and begin your journey with a visit to the famous Kamkhya Temple .You can also explore Umananda temple or enjoy a river cruise on the Brahmaputra . overnight stay in Guwahati .
Day 2
Drive to Shillong, famously known as the " Scotland of the East ." En route , stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake. On arrival explore Ward's Lake , Don Bosco Museum, and the lively Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3
Enjoy a full day trip to Cherrapunji and witness the stunning Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls , Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave , and Eco Park. Return to Shillong in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Head towards Mawlynnong , the cleanest village in Asia , where you can see the Living Bridge and the Sky Walk . Continue to Dawki for boating on the crystal - clear Umngot River before returning to Shillong for overnight stay
Day 5
After breakfast , drive to Kaziranga National Park , the land of the one-horned Rhinoceros. Evening free for leisure . Overnight stay in Kaziranga .
Day 6
Expierence an early morning Elephant Safari in the Central Range followed by an afternooon Jeep Safari in the western Range . Later , explore nearby tea gardens. overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 7
Drive towards Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh with scenic views along the way . Visit Tipi orchidarium and Tenga Valley en route. Overnight stay in Dirang
Day 8
Travel to Tawang , passing through the high altitude Sela Pass at 13,700 ft, Paradise Lake , and jaswant Garh War Memorial. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 9
Explore the Majestic Tawang Monastery , one of the largest in the world , along with Urgeling Monastery , the war memorial , craft centre, and enjoy the Tawang ropeway. Overnight stay in Tawang
Day 10
Take a day trip to Bumla pass on the Indo-China border ( with permits ) . On the way , visit Madhuri Lake ( Sangetsar Lake ) and PTSO Lake . Return to Tawang for overnight stay
Day 11
Drive back to bomdila and visit the beautiful Bomdila Monastery and local apple orchards. overnight stay in Bomdila
Day 12
Conclude your trip with a long drive back to Guwahati for your onward journey .
